Author
Paulo Coelho (born 1947, Rio de Janeiro) a Brazilian lyricist and novelist. He is best known for his widely translated novel The Alchemist, which has become one of the best-selling books of history. Paulo Coelho attended a Jesuit school, and as a teenager he wanted to become a writer. He worked as a songwriter, actor, journalist, and theatre director before pursuing his writing career. His book the Alchemist, which tells the story of a shepherd searching a treasure and discovering the treasure found within, became first a Brazilian bestseller, later a world-wide phenomenon. Paulo Coelho has published over 30 books. He posts up to three times a week at his blog, and has million of fans on both Facebook and Twitter.
